Siargao is a teardrop-shaped island in the southern Philippines, internationally recognised as the country's surf capital thanks to Cloud 9 — a powerful hollow reef break that draws professional surfers and enthusiasts from around the world between August and November.
Beyond surfing, Siargao is known for island hopping to Naked Island, Daku Island, and Guyam Island — three distinct sandbar and beach environments reachable within minutes of each other. The main hub of General Luna has grown rapidly with surf shops, specialty coffee shops, and restaurants. Siargao remains less developed than Bali or Phuket, retaining a raw coastal character that continues to attract travellers seeking something less polished. Island Seeker covers surf camps, resorts, restaurants, and island tours across Siargao.
