The Roast House built its reputation on one thing: a half roast chicken that falls off the bone, served with generous sides of fresh vegetables and mashed potato. The gambas pil pil—shrimp in a spicy sauce—draws equal praise. Prices stay reasonable despite the portions. Staff move fast and genuinely seem happy to have you there. The gin and tonics come spiked with lemongrass. It's casual, unfussy, and packed with locals who've figured out what works. Order the chicken. Everything else flows from there.
