A wide bay stretches a kilometer across, with rocky islands breaking big waves at its mouth. The sand beach fronts blue-green water where locals grow seaweed on bamboo rafts—a livelihood that defines the landscape. Head east from Kuta along the coastal road to reach it. An unpaved road just before Tanjung Aan leads 13 km to Awang village, where traditional settlements cluster along the shore and you can charter a motorized canoe. Nearby Grupuk village has become known for seaweed farming for agar-agar production. The area also draws surfers to Desert Point.
