Langkawi is a duty-free archipelago of 99 islands off the northwest coast of Malaysia, best known for its forest-covered hills, mangrove kayaking, and the Langkawi Sky Bridge — a curved pedestrian bridge 700 metres above sea level with views across the Strait of Malacca.
Pantai Cenang is the main beach strip, lined with hotels, restaurants, and watersports operators. The island's interior is largely rainforest with waterfalls and wildlife reserves. Langkawi's duty-free status makes it a popular stop for electronics, chocolate, and alcohol at significantly lower prices. It is easily reached by ferry from Penang or Kuala Perlis, or by direct flights from Kuala Lumpur. Island Seeker covers hotels, resorts, restaurants, water sports, and nature tours across Langkawi.
