Top Things to See in Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc's must-visit landmarks, parks, and beaches — with locations and tips for each
Sights & Landmarks
Sunset Town & Kiss Bridge
A Mediterranean-style resort town at Phu Quoc's southern tip, with pastel Italianate buildings, the photogenic Kiss Bridge reaching out to sea, a nightly fireworks show, and the multimedia 'Kiss of the Sea' performance. The island's headline sunset spot.
Hon Thom Cable Car
A Guinness World Record holder as the longest three-wire sea-crossing cable car on earth, running nearly 8 km from An Thoi across turquoise water and islands to Hon Thom, where the Aquatopia water park and beaches await.
Dinh Cau Rock & Night Market
A small shrine perched on a rock at the mouth of the Dương Đông river, dedicated to the sea goddess and lit gold at sunset, right beside the island's liveliest night market of seafood grills, snacks, and souvenir stalls.
Phu Quoc Prison (Coconut Tree Prison)
A sobering war museum on the site of a prison used to hold tens of thousands of communist captives during the Vietnam War, with reconstructed cells, barbed-wire 'tiger cages', and graphic depictions of the conditions detainees endured.
Parks & Nature
VinWonders Phu Quoc
One of Vietnam's largest theme parks, in the island's north, combining roller coasters and thrill rides with a water park, aquarium, and themed 'world' zones. A full day of family entertainment, often paired with the neighbouring safari.
Vinpearl Safari
Vietnam's first open-style safari park, where giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, and hundreds of other species roam large enclosures viewed from open-sided buses, alongside a walking zoo area. In the north beside VinWonders.
Suoi Tranh Waterfall
A gentle stream and waterfall tumbling over granite boulders through forest in the island's interior, reached by an easy shaded walk. A cool, green break from the beaches with small pools for a dip, busiest in the rainy season.
Phu Quoc National Park
A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve covering more than half the island in protected tropical rainforest, with hiking trails, birdlife, and remote northern corners like Gành Dầu and Rạch Tràm for those wanting wild, undeveloped Phu Quoc.
Beaches & Islands
Sao Beach (Bãi Sao)
Long regarded as Phu Quoc's most beautiful beach — a curve of powder-white sand and calm, clear turquoise water backed by coconut palms in the island's southeast. Beach bars, loungers, and a swing or two complete the postcard.
An Thoi Islands
An archipelago of small islands off Phu Quoc's south — Hon Thom, Gầm Ghì, May Rút and others — with the island's best snorkelling and diving over coral reefs, reached by boat day-trip or via the Hon Thom cable car.
Starfish Beach (Rạch Vẹm)
A shallow, calm beach on the island's far north named for the orange starfish that dot its sandy seabed, where stilted seafood shacks sit over the water. A laid-back, photogenic spot best at low tide — look, don't lift the starfish.
Ong Lang Beach
A quieter, more natural west-coast beach north of Dương Đông, with coves of golden sand broken by rocks, shady trees, and low-key resorts. A relaxed alternative to the busier Long Beach, and a fine spot for the sunset.
