Phu Quoc sights
Vinpearl Safari
Vietnam's first open-style safari park, where giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, and hundreds of other species roam large enclosures viewed from open-sided buses, alongside a walking zoo area. In the north beside VinWonders.
About
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc opened in 2015 as Vietnam's first open-model safari park, and it remains one of the country's largest, set in the forested north of the island beside VinWonders. It is divided into two parts: a drive-through 'safari' zone, where you board open-sided buses that pass through large enclosures of free-roaming animals — giraffes, zebras, rhinos, deer, and big cats such as lions and tigers viewed from the safety of the bus — and a walking 'zoo' area arranged along shaded paths, home to hundreds of species from primates and birds to reptiles, with feeding sessions and animal shows. Conservation and breeding programmes for endangered species are part of its remit. As with the rest of the Vinpearl complex it is a polished, family-oriented attraction, easily combined with VinWonders next door; it generally takes a half-day, and going earlier in the day means cooler temperatures and more active animals.
