Hon Thom Cable Car
A Guinness World Record holder as the longest three-wire sea-crossing cable car on earth, running nearly 8 km from An Thoi across turquoise water and islands to Hon Thom, where the Aquatopia water park and beaches await.
About
The Hon Thom Cable Car is one of Phu Quoc's signature experiences and a genuine world record holder — recognised by Guinness World Records as the longest non-stop three-wire (3S) sea-crossing cable car on earth, running close to 8 kilometres from An Thoi on the main island to Hon Thom (Pineapple Island) in the southern archipelago. The ride takes around 15–20 minutes each way and glides high above an extraordinary seascape of turquoise shallows, fishing boats, and small green islands, with the cabins passing over a couple of intermediate islets en route. At the far end, Hon Thom has been developed into a leisure island anchored by the large Aquatopia Water Park, with slides and pools, plus beaches and restaurants, making the cable car both an attraction in itself and the gateway to a full day out. It departs from beside Sunset Town, so the two pair naturally; clear, calm mornings give the best views.
