April is Boracay's most distinctly Filipino month. Semana Santa (Holy Week) — usually in April — brings the largest domestic surge of the year: Filipino families, barkadas, and couples arrive en masse for the country's most important holiday. White Beach is packed; it's simultaneously the most crowded and most festive Filipino beach experience of the year. After Holy Week, the island quietens quickly, the amihan fades, and the first signs of the southwest transition weather appear — some afternoon cloud and occasional brief showers.

Good Friday and Black Saturday are the peak arrival days. The beach atmosphere is vibrant, youthful, and very social — very different from the international peak season feel of January.

If visiting during Holy Week, book accommodation 3–4 months ahead — the best-value mid-range hotels book out completely. Beachfront resorts are available but at significantly elevated prices.
After Holy Week ends, Boracay empties quickly. The week after Easter can be significantly quieter and cheaper — an underrated window of good weather and low prices.
April water temperatures hit 28°C — the warmest of the year. If snorkelling or diving is the priority, April has excellent warm water conditions while visibility is still good.

April is warmer and slightly more humid than January, with the amihan trade winds weakening. Early April is still largely dry; late April can bring occasional brief showers as the transition begins. Sea temperatures are at their annual warmest. It's still an excellent beach month, particularly before the transition fully sets in.
Early April is still possible for kitesurfing with residual amihan winds. By late April the winds become inconsistent as the transition between amihan and habagat seasons occurs. May to October is habagat season when the southwest winds return — also kitesurfable but conditions differ. April is the final reliable amihan kitesurfing month.
