Pergasingan Hill - Hiking and Camping

Pergasingan Hill rises to 1,670 meters in Sembalun, near Mount Rinjani, and offers a 3-4 hour climb with views most hikers won't forget. The trail crosses rice fields and grasslands before reaching the summit, where Mount Rinjani appears directly opposite. From the top, you see Sembalun village spread below, surrounding hills, and pine forests. The climb tests both legs and lungs—60 degrees average steepness—but the payoff is genuine: sunrise, sunset, and the kind of views photographers come for. Many use it as training before tackling Rinjani itself. Now a protected natural park, it's become a weekend escape for students from across the region.
