About
Built in 1727 by the King of Mataram, Narmada Park is one of Lombok's largest and oldest historical parks. The 2-hectare complex was designed to replicate Mount Rinjani's summit and serves as a royal retreat. You'll find the Pura Kalasa Temple, Lingsar Temple, and the Fountain of Youth—locals believe its spring water brings longevity. The park hosts the Pakelem ceremony during the full moon in October or November. It's 10km east of Mataram and open daily 7am to 6pm. Go on weekdays to avoid crowds, and wear a sarong when visiting temples (available free at entrances). Fresh nut drinks and fruit are sold throughout the grounds.
