About
Kilim Geoforest Park is Southeast Asia's first geopark, spanning 100 square kilometers of protected reserve near Langkawi. UNESCO-recognized since 2006, it's the only place in Malaysia where coastal karst and mangrove ecosystems exist side by side. The park holds million-year-old fossils, limestone caves, and pristine beaches. Boat tours wind through sprawling mangrove forests while guides point out geosites and trails. The local Kilim Village community remains integral to the park's character. This isn't theme-park nature—it's raw geological heritage where you're literally walking among rocks that have stood for half a billion years.
