Taling Ngam remains one of Koh Samui's quieter corners—soft white sand, shallow and calm waters that work for both kids and adults. The beach stays mostly undeveloped, lined more by jungle than resorts, though a few high-end properties sit well back and scattered. A couple of bars and restaurants dot the shoreline; The Five Islands Restaurant is worth seeking out. Getting here means taking the 4170 exit off the Ring Road toward the Elephant Gate statues, then heading down to the beach and village. It's a good half-day escape if you want to skip the tourist crowds.
