About

Silver Beach—also called Crystal Bay or Thong Takhian—is a 250-metre cove on Koh Samui's east coast, wedged between Chaweng and Lamai. The beach sits below the highway on a short access road, so you won't spot it from Route 4169; look for the Crystal Bay signs instead. Three properties share the sand: Crystal Bay Beach Resort, Crystal Bay Yacht Club, and Crystal Bay Beach Club. Getting there is straightforward—grab a songthaew for 100-150 baht from the main road, or take Grab or Bolt from Chaweng for 200-350 baht. It's roughly 12 kilometres south of the airport, about 25 minutes in normal traffic.
