Chaweng Beach stretches 7 kilometers along Koh Samui's east coast, a crescent of white sand fringed with coconut palms. The water runs clear with gentle waves, good for swimming and snorkeling. The northern end buzzes with restaurants, bars, and nightlife. The southern section stays quieter. Water sports here include jet skiing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and windsurfing. Beachside massages are easy to find. Public restrooms, showers, and chair rentals are available. Weekdays are noticeably less crowded than weekends. Watch for strong currents during monsoon season (October to December).
