About

Klong Dao is Ko Lanta's most accessible beach, just 5 to 10 minutes from Saladan Village by car. The wide crescent of sand connects to Kawkwang Beach and draws families for good reason—it's developed but not overdone. Hotels and restaurants sit where jungle meets beach, surrounded by palms, with the sand mostly clear of loungers and clutter. The southern end hosts Time For Lime, a famous restaurant and cooking school whose profits support a dog sanctuary. You'll find everything from budget bungalows to luxury resorts here, plus plenty of dining options ranging from cheap Thai food to upscale spots.
