June is deep wet season on Koh Lanta. Most tourist businesses are closed — guesthouses, restaurants, dive shops, and boat tour operators. The island returns to its quiet local character. Not recommended for tourist travel; visit November–April instead.

Is Koh Lanta open in June?

Much of the tourist infrastructure on Koh Lanta closes in June. Some guesthouses and a handful of restaurants in Hat Khlong Dao and Saladan remain open, but the island is operating at very reduced capacity. Diving and snorkelling tours are typically suspended. Not recommended for typical beach tourism.
