June is when Bali truly shines. The dry season delivers near-perfect weather: bright blue skies, low humidity, cooling sea breezes, and excellent visibility for diving and snorkeling. The month-long Bali Arts Festival brings traditional dance, music, and crafts to Denpasar. Tourists are arriving in increasing numbers ahead of the July–August peak — it's busy but not yet overwhelming.

travel tips
Attend the Bali Arts Festival in Denpasar — nightly dance performances at the arts centre are spectacular and far removed from the tourist circuit. Worth a day trip from Seminyak or Ubud.
June is excellent for surf lessons at Kuta and Legian for beginners; intermediate-advanced surfers should head directly to Uluwatu or Padang Padang.
Book accommodation for July and August now if you haven't — June is the last month where popular hotels have good availability at pre-peak prices.
common questions
June is an excellent time to visit. The dry season weather is reliable and pleasant, the Bali Arts Festival provides unique cultural experiences, and the island has good energy without being as overwhelmingly crowded as July–August. It's a step up in tourist numbers from May, but still manageable. For a balance of weather, culture, and crowd levels, June is one of the top months to visit.
The Pesta Kesenian Bali (Bali Arts Festival) is an annual government-sponsored cultural festival held at the Taman Werdhi Budaya arts centre in Denpasar. It runs for approximately one month, typically from mid-June to mid-July, and showcases traditional Balinese dance, music, crafts, and ceremonies from all of Bali's regencies. Evening performances of Kecak, Legong, and Barong dances are highlights. Admission is free or nominally priced — a genuine cultural experience not geared toward tourists.
June has some of Bali's best weather of the year. Temperatures are slightly cooler than the wet season (26–30°C vs 32°C), humidity is low, skies are clear and blue, and the southeast trade winds bring regular cooling breezes. Rain is very rare in June. Sea visibility for diving is excellent. Nights are pleasantly cool, particularly in Ubud.
Both are excellent in June. The beach areas (Seminyak, Canggu, Uluwatu) offer beautiful dry-season conditions for beach clubs and surfing. Ubud is arguably even better in June — the rice terraces and jungle are still vivid from recent rain but clearing up, temperatures are comfortable (slightly cooler than the coast), and cultural activities from the Bali Arts Festival are nearby. Many visitors split their time: 3–4 nights Ubud, then south for the remainder.
