Comparing the Philippines' famous beach island with Guam
Boracay's White Beach is one of Asia's most famous strips of sand — 4km of powdery white sand with warm Philippine Sea water and a buzzing beach party atmosphere. Guam's Tumon Bay can't quite match that singular beach, but offers more consistent convenience, US infrastructure, and a wider range of accommodation. Both serve the Japanese and Korean tourist markets, but with different vibes.

questions & answers
Is Boracay's White Beach better than Tumon Bay in Guam?
Boracay's White Beach is widely regarded as one of Asia's finest beaches — the sand is exceptionally fine and white, the water warm and clear, and the 4km stretch is dramatic. Tumon Bay has beautiful water and good snorkelling but the sand is coarser and the setting more resort-urban. For pure beach aesthetics, Boracay wins.
Is Guam or Boracay easier to get to from Japan and Korea?
Guam is dramatically easier. Direct flights from Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul reach Guam in 3.5 hours with no connections. Boracay requires a flight to Manila or Kalibo (4–5 hours), then a ferry across to the island — adding significant time and logistical complexity.
