Boracay sights
White Beach
Boracay's headline act — a four-kilometre sweep of famously powdery white sand and clear turquoise water on the west coast, lined with resorts, bars, and restaurants across Stations 1, 2, and 3, and the island's prime sunset stage.
About
White Beach is the reason Boracay is famous — a four-kilometre arc of sand on the island's western shore so fine and white it squeaks underfoot, sloping into calm, clear, pale-turquoise water. It is informally divided into three 'Stations': Station 1 in the north has the widest sand and the most upscale resorts; Station 2 in the middle is the busy heart, home to the D'Mall shopping area and most of the nightlife; and Station 3 to the south is quieter and more budget-friendly. A pedestrian beachfront path runs the whole length, with no vehicles allowed near the sand, and the west-facing aspect makes it one of the great places in the Philippines to watch the sunset, often with a paraw sailboat drifting across the glow. It can be crowded, especially in peak season, but the quality of the sand and water has kept it consistently ranked among the world's best beaches.
