Two Lovers Point (Puntan Dos Amantes)
A dramatic 120-metre clifftop overlook above Tumon Bay, with sweeping views of the reef and coastline. Named for a Chamorro legend of two forbidden lovers who leapt from the cliff together, tying their hair, rather than be parted.
About
Two Lovers Point, or Puntan Dos Amantes, is Guam's most famous lookout — a sheer cliff rising around 120 metres above the sea at the northern end of Tumon Bay, with a railed viewing platform giving sweeping views over the reef, the bay, and the open Pacific. It takes its name from a beloved Chamorro legend: during the Spanish era, a young woman of high-ranking family, promised against her will to a powerful Spanish officer, fled here with the man she truly loved; cornered at the cliff edge, the two tied their long hair together and leapt to the sea below rather than be separated. The site is now landscaped with the legend's bell, love-lock fences, and viewpoints, and it is one of Guam's most popular spots for photos, sunsets, and weddings. There is a small entrance fee. Beyond the romance, the elevated vantage over Tumon Bay and the northern coast is simply one of the best views on the island.
