Palawan Area GuideSan Vicente, Palawan, Philippines
Home to the longest white beach in the Philippines β 14 km of undeveloped paradise
San Vicente is home to Long Beach β 14.7 kilometres of unbroken white sand that is officially the longest beach in the Philippines, yet remains almost entirely undeveloped compared to its fame. Unlike Boracay's White Beach or El Nido, there are no resort hotel rows or beach bars along most of its length β just coconut palms, soft sand, and the West Philippine Sea. San Vicente has been earmarked for careful tourism development, and new eco-resorts are gradually opening, but the vast majority of the beach remains in its natural state. For travellers who want a genuine 'lost beach' experience within reach of basic infrastructure, San Vicente delivers. The town has improved transport links including a small airport with flights from Manila.

questions & answers
Can I fly directly to San Vicente?
Yes β San Vicente Airport has commercial flights from Manila operated by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific (approximately 1 hour). This is the most convenient way to reach Long Beach without passing through Puerto Princesa. Flight frequency has increased in recent years but remains limited; book well in advance during peak season. The airport is about 5 minutes from the town centre and 10 minutes from the southern end of Long Beach.
Are there any hotels or resorts on Long Beach?
Development on Long Beach is in its early stages β there are a handful of eco-resorts and beachfront cottages concentrated at the southern and northern ends of the beach. Most of the 14.7 km is still accessible only by walking from either end. Basic accommodation in San Vicente town is available, with the best options being small family-run guesthouses. Several international hotel groups have acquired land for future development, so the landscape will change.
