Karon Viewpoint

The classic 'Three Beaches' viewpoint on the coastal road, looking down the curve of Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon beaches with the Andaman beyond. A quick, free roadside stop that's a favourite for photos.

About

The Karon Viewpoint — also called the Kata Viewpoint or simply the 'Three Beaches Viewpoint' — is the most popular roadside lookout on Phuket's scenic southwest coast road between Kata and Nai Harn. From its railed platform the land falls away to reveal three of the island's loveliest bays curving one after another into the distance: petite Kata Noi closest, then Kata, then the long sweep of Karon, each fringed with white sand and backed by green hills, with the Andaman Sea and offshore islands filling the horizon. It is a quick, free stop — most people pause for 15–30 minutes — but the view is genuinely one of the best on the island, especially in clear morning light or the golden hour before sunset. A small cluster of souvenir and drink stalls sits by the car park. It pairs easily with a circuit of the southern capes and beaches.
