Western Command Golf Club sits just three kilometers from Puerto Princesa city center, inside the Armed Forces headquarters. It's a nine-hole public course with long, flat fairways lined by acacia and mahogany trees, guarded by sand bunkers and planted with Tipton grass greens. The wind can be strong—the airport runway sits only a few hundred yards away. The clubhouse has a pro shop, restaurant, bar, and function room. Showers and locker rooms are available. Civilians play on a first-come, first-served basis. Expect noise from planes overhead.
