Western Command Golf Club sits right at the Armed Forces headquarters in Puerto Princesa, about three kilometers from the city center. It's a nine-hole public course with long, flat fairways lined by Acacia and Mahogany trees, Tipton grass greens, and sand traps. Fair warning: you'll hear jets from the nearby airport runway and feel strong winds across the layout. The club has a full clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant, bar, practice greens, and shower facilities. Civilians are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. An hour-plus flight from Manila gets you there.
