Las Cabanas Beach
The closest great sunset beach to El Nido town, a relaxed curve of sand with beach bars, island views, and a zipline running out over the water to a tiny offshore islet. The go-to spot for an evening drink at golden hour.
About
Las Cabanas Beach is the most popular sunset beach within easy reach of El Nido town, just a few kilometres south and accessible by tricycle or a coastal walk. A relaxed curve of sand backed by trees and a cluster of beach bars and restaurants, it faces west across the water to a scatter of islands, making it the prime spot to settle in with a cold drink or a cocktail and watch the sky catch fire at golden hour. By day the water is good for swimming and there's a well-known zipline that runs out from the headland over the sea to the tiny offshore Depeldet Island, a fun, scenic ride. Because of its convenience and the quality of its sunsets, Las Cabanas gets lively in the late afternoon, with music and a sociable, easygoing atmosphere — the natural place to end a day of island hopping before heading back into town for dinner.
